Pole dance combines dance and acrobatics centered on a vertical pole. This performance art form takes place not only in gentleman's clubs as erotic dance, but also as a mainstream form of fitness, practiced in gyms and dedicated dance studios. Pole dancing enthusiasts are of all ages; although many who perform this dance and acrobatic form are adults, that does not stop younger children from learning and performing in competitions. Amateur and professional pole dancing competitions are held in countries around the world.
Dance is a performing art. It is described in many ways. It is when people move to a musical rhythm. They may be alone, or in a group. The dance may be an informal play, a part of a ritual, or a part of a professional performance. There are many kinds of dances, and every human society has its own dances.
The use of a pole for sports and exercise dates back at least 800 years to the traditional Indian sport of mallakhamb, which employs endurance and strength principles with a wooden pole wider in diameter than a modern standard pole. The Chinese pole, dating back to the 12th century, uses two poles on which men would perform "gravity-defying tricks" as they leap from pole to pole, at approximately twenty feet in the air. Pole dance in America has its roots in the "Little Egypt" traveling sideshows of the 1890s, which featured sensual "Kouta Kouta" or "Hoochie Coochie" belly dances,[10] performed mostly by Ghawazi dancers making their first appearance in America. In an era where women dressed modestly in corsets, the dancers, dressed in short skirts and richly adorned in jewelry, caused quite a stir.During the 1920s, dancers introduced pole by sensually gyrating on the wooden tent poles to attract crowds.

Together with my team consisting of personal trainers and nutritionists, I've worked to develop the guides, workout plans, meal plans, and recipe libraries to ensure that I'm getting maximum results from the hard work I put in. And I’ve worked hard to make sure that Alex Home School gives you everything you need to own your bodies and minds, and to reach your personal health and fitness goals. Let’s get to work!

“I’ve been ‘healthy and athletic’ most of my life, but something clicked when I started following Alex's trainings. He’s very real and genuine, drawing people in when he speaks. Her pole trainings was a game changer for me.”

I trained with Alex this summer. After having 3 kids I had lost confidence in how I looked. After only 4 weeks I went on pole party and wore a bikini something I hadn’t done in years. Most importantly I feel confident and strong and have a newfound love for pole dance. I recommend his trainings. Thank you!
